Taiwan Smart City Development Project
Taiwan’s government.
Taiwan Smart City Development Project begins by meeting local and industry demands in the hopes of accelerating the universal application of digital services in Taiwan and leveraging mechanisms such as Public-Private-People Partnerships to focus on issues of public concern in the fields of “healthcare”, “governance”, “transportation”, and “agriculture”. By integrating concepts such as shortening the digital divide, social and public interest, and environmental sustainability, the program assists county and city governments in promoting digital services and start-up landings to improve the public quality of life. Additionally, exchanges with global smart cities will assist in the export of Taiwan’s smart applications and services to achieve the vision of urban-rural prosperity through digital technology.
